Fun and Culture During a City Break

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, there a short trip to Wales or the North of England is just what the doctor ordered. There's so much to see and do. Whether it's a relaxing boat ride or a trip around the country to taste a bit of history, you're sure to have a whale of a time.

If you're looking for great accommodations, then North Dalton Manor is an excellent choice in this regard. Located in Drifield it is in close proximity to all the tourist locations and other must-see venues. In the heart of England, Derbyshire is a wonderful place to relax.

You can take a look at the beautiful Grade II listed gardens. Of course shopping is a must and you can be sure to find yourself some fantastic bargains and unique gift ideas. City breaks closer to home are a fantastic way to relax after those long hours at the office. The best part about a UK holiday is that most locations are just a short car or plane ride away.

Time for family

Family city breaks are also a great idea for those who wish to stay closer to home. The Cumbria area within the lake region is a wonderful place. Here you will find peaceful lakes, hiking trails and incredible vistas to hike and fish. In this scenic environment you will want to linger longer. You'll have the perfect mix of nature, culture and relaxation. Your family will love the time together to bond and build a lifetime of happy memories.

A choice of cities

With Heathrow at your door step, the sky is the limit for where you would like to take your city break. If time is limited then choose a city which is close by. If a week is all the time you have, try picking one or two cities to get to know. Start out in Frankfurt and end up in Venice. Everybody has heard about the Grand Canal in Venice so why not give the Gritti Palace a try to complete your perfect holiday. Located right on the canal you'll be able to see the city life of Venice.

Soak in the city centres

The great thing about being in a city is that you are always close to all the action. You can explore the place on foot. See what's going on and meet the people. Who knows where it might lead. Frankfurt has a great city centre where culture and pop mix well. If not Frankfurt, then you have the whole of Europe to choose from so jump a flight to somewhere, maybe Venice, Amsterdam or Nice. All these scenic locations can be reached in an hour or two so get ready for some serious fun!
