Beach lovers will be in their element with miles and miles of breathtaking sandy coastline and clear blue waters. Gumbet is a popular beach resort which has a sand and shingle beach which curves around the bay. Other popular resorts include Bodrum, Marmaris and Antalya.

The scenery on the Bodrum Peninsula is stunning and well worth a visit. But Turkey it not just famous for it's beaches. The nightlife there is also a good reason to visit. You will find the nightlife lively and varied with many bars, clubs and restaurants open late into the evening.

If excursions are more your thing you will be spoilt for choice. Turkey has a rich history and there are many sights to see and places to visit which will increase your knowledge about this beautiful country. St Peters Castle in Bodrum is well worth a visit as is the Tomb of Sariana in Maramaris. Choose from organsied trips or take off for the day on your own and head inland. The apartments have their own private balconies and come equipped with air con and a kitchenette. You will be just 500 metres from the beach and close to the town centre. Or why not try the lovely 4 star Medisun Hotel on an all inclusive basis. This hotel offers great value for money and is just 150 metres from the beach. Based in Ortakent, local buses run every few minutes which can take you into the centre of Bodrum. The hotel itself is in a great loaction and offers tennis, football, pool, Turkish bath and sauna, internet access and loads of other facilities. Highly recommended! If you are looking for a budget Turkey break the 2 star Talat hotel in Kusadasi has much to offer. 	2. Cosmos Cosmos were voted tour operator of the year recently and from our research we can see why! They have loads of choice for Turkey holidays and their prices fared well in comparison to other websites. Their holidays to Turkey cover much of this beautiful country including the popular tourist areas of Bodrum, Antalya, Dalaman and Gumbet. The Cosmos holiday season for Turkey runs right from January to December so you can always get a great deal. This is because of the mild climate and hot summers. 	3. Olympic Holidays This site specialises in holidays to Turkey, Cyprus and Greece and Egypt and so has some of the best deals around. They have some amazing deals to Turkey including Bodrum, Gumbet, Bitez, Side and Marmaris. There is plenty of information on their website about each resort to help you make your decision of which resort to visit. Read about the beaches, nightlife, weather and sight seeing opportunities. There is also a bargains section where you will find some last minute Turkey deals at low prices. The fact that they specialie in Turkey holidays means their experience helps them offer the best choice of accommodation. Also if you want to head to a part of Turkey away from the main tourist resorts they have plenty of options. For example why not try a holiday in Oludeniz on the South West coast. There are gorgeous white beaches and clear blue waters and the beach is actually considered to be one of the best in the world. Known as the "Turquise Coast" this makes a perfect holiday setting for sun worshiper and watersport enthusiasts. If you want something a bit more lively they have some Marmaris holidays at great prices. We like the 3* plus Club Nergis Beach Hotel with a seafront location and sea views and only 50 metres from the resort centre where all the action is. A great base for exploring. 	4. Thomsons Thomson holidays have some great Turkey package deals to Bodrum, Dalaman and Antalya. We recommend the 4T Aegan Dream Resort for a luxurious break at excellent value for money. This is one of the hotels also recommended by Thomson and so you are guaranteed good quality. You can see photos and also videos of the hotel so you can get a really good idea of what the place is like before you book. This hotel has friendly staff and a beachside location. The all inclusive package offers great value. The hotel is based in Bodrum which has lively nightlife and would suit families and coupls alike. Antalya is an increasingly popular choice for Turkey holidays and Thomson have a selection of hotels there. Side is a resort with a glorious beach and green blue seas and Antalya itself has a lovely shingle beach and breathtaking cliffs. Our favourite hotel here is the Hotel Lara Beach which is close to the beach with lush gardens and stylish bedrooms. Again, a great choice for couples and families.
